My submission to get into a new work area doesn't work

I have an account on Trello and a work area; my work superiors want me to get into another work area from another project, that had not surpassed the limit of 10 people yet. Even though, I can't get in with the invitation link, it asks me to press to send a request to the team who invited me: but they try to accept and it says it's not possible to accept me in the work area. I have checked my account settings and searched for solutions on-line, but there's nothing related to it. Can you guys help me?

Are there less than 10 people in the entire workspace, or just the board.

The limit applies to the entire workspace, not just the one board.
