Mention format when comment text is posted to Slack in Butler

I use Butler's Slack Post feature because I want to include the board name in the notification as I am aggregating notifications from multiple boards into a single Slack Channel.
I want to be notified of a comment, but if there is a mentions in the comment, it shows as '@**username**' on the Slack post. (Probably because Trello and Slack use different Markdown formatting for bold text).
Is it possible to display this in bold, or at least as plain text without the asterisk?

Hi,

Hmm, it sounds like you're already familiar with the Slack Alerts you can set in Trello, but I'm afraid there's not a way to include the name of the board in those alerts currently. I can definitely see why that would be useful though, and I'll pass your interest in that over to the team for consideration.

In the meantime, you could consider creating some custom alerts that include the board name with Butler's Slack integration: https://help.trello.com/article/1214-butler-using-the-jira-and-slack-integrations
All you'd need to do is use the variable {cardboardname} in the message you send to Slack. You can also use a number of other Butler variables as well. For example;

"when a card is moved to List 2, send message to Slack Channel {cardname} moved to {cardlistname} on {cardboardname}"

Coming to your question on bold text, I checked the Slack Markdown documentation and it looks like they don't support Bold text right now (see https://www.markdownguide.org/tools/slack/) which is why this specific formatting doesn't work.

I'm afraid there's nothing we can do on our side regarding this as it is a limitation on Slack which doesn't allow this format

Thanks a lot for the useful advice.

Yes, we currently use a Slack post from Butler for notifications that include the board name. Thanks for sharing our needs with the team.

Regarding the bolded text, I understand that this is due to the difference in Markdown formatting between Slack and Trello.
It does not matter for the content itself, so it is not a problem.

Hello,

I'm also interested of being able to use Butler to mention someone or just even the usual @here or @channel tags.

I know that Jira already make this possible with the connection to Slack. I can automate messages there and use those tags or mentioning someone.

Could that be taken from Jira to Trello?

Thanks
