Hello Trello Community,
I'm currently exploring options to securely manage budget information within Trello and was wondering if anyone has come across a Trello plugin or solution that meets the following criteria:
Budget Privacy: I need a way for one of my team members to input the budget information, but I want to ensure that only I have access to view this budget. It's crucial that the budget remains confidential from other team members.
Budget Lock: Once the budget is entered, it should not be changeable by anyone, including the team member who initially added it. This ensures data integrity and prevents unauthorized alterations.
I've searched for Trello power-ups and integrations, but I haven't found a solution that fully addresses these needs. If you have any recommendations or suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate your insights.
Thank you for your assistance!
@Bhargav _ New Age you could partially get there with Amazing Fields Power-Up because you can have specific fields and control who can see them. But I don't think there's any way to enforce that it doesn't change.
Generally custom field changes do appear in the activity details, so if someone changed it you'd be able to see that in the card activity - but anyone can view custom fields on a board, so even if that kinda solved the lock/integrity part, it doesn't solve the view access.
Hey @Bhargav _ New Age! I also quickly searched, and I couldn't find Power-Ups that would meet your requirements, especially the Budget privacy and lock. However, instead of using Trello for this purpose, you could explore using JWM. JWM (Jira Work Management) even offers a "Budget" template you could use for this purpose. Feel free to explore it and see if that's a good alternative for you and your teammates. I hope that helps.
