Label colors change with text

I know that Trello rolled out new label colors. I liked (and continue to use) the original dark colors rather than the new pastels. But Trello seems to have a mind of its own, allowing me to use the traditional colors when the label does not contain text describing it, but reverts to the pastels when those descriptors are activated. You can see an example below. Is there a way I can force my instance of Trello to use the colors I set at all times?

Hey @Pat Skerrett - this is expected behaviour.

The colour of your label is what is in the circle in the label on the second photo. When the label is 'minimised', the label will be the colour of the circle. When it's 'maximised' (aka you can see the text in the label), it'll change to the pastel colour for the background to make the test more readable.
