In case anyone is following this, it is now possible to sort the cards alphabetically by the card's name.

Card Name (Alphabetically) has been added to the Sort By... sub-menu on the List Actions panel.

I am trying to sort Trello cards in a list alphabetically using page numbers as the card headers. Trello puts 120-129 before 13. How can I sort cards by number, taking into account that a 3-digit number belongs after a 2-digit number?

Solution: Use Custom Fields. Create a new custom field, set the format to 'number' and check the box to show on card front. The custom field is added to the 'sort by' options.

You can't do this within Trello, but there's a Butler Bot Automation tool that can help. Here's the board with a lot of examples: https://trello.com/b/2dLsEE9t/butler-for-trello

Add Butler to your board here: https://www.butlerfortrello.com/dashboard.html

Once added, create a new card in the "Butler" list with the following:

for each list, sort the list by title

Each list should now be sorted alphabetically once the script runs.
