We would like to add Trelloo as an available app in Teams, however we only want the paid version of Trello and not the free trial version.  Is this possible?

Thank you

As Guarav mentioned, you'll need an Atlassian Cloud organization to manage Trello accounts at the org level.

  • This allows you to claim a domain (e.g. yourcompany.com) whcih then auto-assigns any Trello user with a company email to a managed account in your org. This means your company manages their account details at the org level.
  • If you have Atlassian Guard or an Enterprise license with Guard as a feature, you can then set up authentication policies to requires SSO.
  • If you have an Enterprise license for Trello, you can set up automatic seat management so that Trello automatically converts free accounts to paid accounts, up to your total license count.

It seems you cannot, however, stop folks from self-sign up for new Trello accounts since they're free, and this can get a bit tricky if you are trying to limit the number of people who have access to paid Trello using your company's domain.

The best answer I have is manually deactivating the accounts on a regular basis and communicating with end users that they either need to request paid Trello access or swap their email address to a non-company email if it's for personal use.

David, it is possible to take over all accounts (current and future) that are associated with your company domain, if you claim your domain through the Atlassian AdminHub. This article explains the process at high-level and includes links to more detailed pages. Once, those user accounts are owned/managed by your company, then you can setup rules for automatically assigning them an Enterprise license, if you choose.
