Is it possible to alert an individual in slack to a Trello card update

I want to know if you post a comment in a Trello board whether that update can be sent to that person by Slack instead of email

thanks, this is what I mean though, the comment will come through the trello app to the person rather than if i update a comment on a trello card, and tag someone they won't get the alert direct in their slack messages from me it will be direct to them from Trello?

Hi Hannah, 

Yes this is possible. Once you have added the Slack Power-Up to Trello and authorized which slack account you want to connect to Trello, you can go to the Settings page here and select Add Slack Alert:

You will then go and create an alert for that person to get notified via Slack, the comments made on the board you installed the Slack Power-Up.

thanks so much, but I don't seem able to add a direct person only channels, is this because the person needs to add the slack app at their end?

Hi Hannah,

I've only tried this on a Direct Message option to myself in a test Slack workspace that only has me as a member. Are you able to do a Direct Message for yourself? 

You can check if they are part of the Slack Workspace you're adding. But it's possible that this feature is for you to setup Direct Messages to yourself. That means your team members will need to set that up for each of them when they have the Slack Power-up installed in their boards.

Yes so it comes up in the trello app on slack but is there is no way of it falling direct into your slack messages then?
