When you say "stand alone" Jira, you mean Jira server or Data Center versions, right? Or are you referring to a different version, @Joel Polsky?

So, you're talking about self-hosting Jira, you're most likely talking about Server or Data Center versions. The best way for you to import content would be by generating a CSV export of your content on Jira, and then using one of our third-party Power-Ups on your board to import your CSV file to your board. You can read more about importing data into Trello here: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/importing-data-into-trello/
I hope that helps, @Joel Polsky

Thanks - Is there a way to automate? Looking for a way for when a story is created and/or assigned to me a card it created in Trello. That's all I really need.

I'm pretty sure you can only connect Jira cloud sites to Trello's Automation, and since you're using Jira Server or Data Center, it wouldn't be possible. However, you could try using the Jira Power-Up for Trello to link your Jira issues to your Trello cards, but your Jira instance must be open to the internet. Otherwise, you won't be able to use the Power-Up on Trello.

@Sal If I am using the Jira Power Up, (I just set it up), will new JIRA stories or tasks assigned to me be created in Trello, or is there a way to automate this without paying for an additional 3rd party software? I understand how send Trello to JIRA but I am more interested in the reverse since my colleagues aren't really using Trello, just me.

@Melissa Mooney, I'm not entirely sure how to do that from Jira to Trello. I believe there might be an app on Jira's marketplace related to Trello that would allow you to do that, but this is only a guess. Perhaps the Jira support team might know the answer.
