I wish to delete my account is there an easy way

Canyou tell me how to delete my account,Trello seems to use a run a runaround  trying to way to delete your account. Can you help me? Also is there an easy way to delete my account?

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Trello accounts are now all "Atlassian accounts" - there's no account in Trello, it's an account held in a user account system that has access (including possibly ownership) of one or many systems.

I have loads of Atlassian accounts, but tend to use only two.  One of them is "owned" by Adaptavist, and it has access to a load of Adaptavist related systems, as well as some of out clients systems, and Atlassian's partner-related systems.  I have a personal Atlassian account which I use for access to my Atlassian systems, including Trello, and the Community here.

Your question has been asked in a system that (one of) your Atlassian account(s) has access to.

I explain that because it is very important to understand the impact of account deletion.  If you delete your account, you are deleting the account, not just a Trello account.  It will remove your access to everything that account has access to.

So, caution aside, 

  1. Go to
  2. Log in with the Atlassian account you want to delete
  3. Click products to check the list of things you are going to lose access to
  4. Click "account preferences" and then "delete account" and follow the steps (it's mostly an "are you sure?" process)

Note that

  •  It's not instant for all products, give it a few minutes to work through all the systems.  (Have lunch, walk the dog, ring your parents for a chat or something - allow maybe an hour)
  • Your account may be the "owner" of one or more products.  If it is the owner, you will need to either
    • Shut down / unsubscribe from the system you own, killing it off for everyone who was using it
    • Transfer it - name someone else as the admin and billing contact, then remove yourself
