I want all automations to be enabled automatically on new boards.

Jenna Squires June 11, 2021

We have business class and right now every time you create a new board you have to manually go in and enable all the automations.  We have quit a few automations so this gets cumbersone.

Oh boy, I'm discovering all these glaring holes in the Trello UX. :(

Hi Jenna,

Thanks for reaching out!

Following on from Iain's answer, while this isn't possible, there is a way you can at least speed up that process.

What you'll want to do is add all the commands you want enabled to a Command Library (https://help.trello.com/article/1139-command-libraries). Once added and you copy that template board, you can open your command libraries and click the check mark next to that one to enable all the rules in it. Here's how that looks:

Not quite the same as being automatically enabled, but will hopefully still help! Let us know if we can be of any more help, and have a great rest of your day.

All the best,

@Jenna Squires Aside from having commands in a library, there is no way currently to automatically enable Butler functionality on a "grouping" of boards (for example, one board per client, all client boards inherit the same functionality).

Our BenkoBot platform, which is a JavaScript automation platform for Trello, has global commands and also command groups so you can have a set of functions that are applied to all client boards for example:
