I moved a board between accounts; automation rules work but are not visible

I used this service to "move" a board from my personal account to a paid business account

https://trello.com/support/transfer-boards

The board is now visible in the target business account, and the automation rules still work but the rules are not visible in the automation UI.

The transfer tools says "The transfer tool does not make a copy of your boards. Do not delete the boards on the original account!" So, I assume it's just a mirror of the board available on the new account.

But  I'd really liked to manage it - and the automations - on the new account only. Is there a way to do this? Maybe if I copy it?

Boards sit in workspaces, that can have multiple users

However, automations are linked to the users

The good news is, you can transfer them from 1 user account to another.

The not-so-good news is that its a bit of pain to do so

It requires:

  • A premium workspace
  • The account where the automations currently are and the account where you want them to be must be workspace members
  • You have to add all automations to a library and share the library
  • Once the automation library is shared, you can download them with the new account and enable them on the board
