I want to continue receiving desktop notifications, but I don't want the sound every time. When I'm in a planning session with my team and we're all working together to update our board, there is a constant barrage of sounds. Since some of the team dial in remotely for the sessions, I have to have the sound on, so just muting all sound on my laptop won't work.

Oh, thank you so much! I only just started using a Mac a couple of weeks ago, and was really frustrated at Trello just saying I should set notification preferences under system preferences - I thought that referred to a Trello system preference that I just couldn't see anywhere!!
