Okay so, I'm trying to utilize this feature for two boards, one completely ridiculous, and one that actually has a potential communal good. For the utterly useless, i'm trying to simulate a rpg town in trello, and for the useful one, i'm setting up a community board with the local museum info, prices, links, discount program information for people in financial need, and ongoing exhibits. Both need one important feature though: business hours, and ones that can be utilized by the greater custom field/dashcard/butler ecosystem.
Why is this? Sorting!
See, i CAN add labels for each day, hours/zones of time if need be, but once you start adding in the categories for various accessibility and financial needs, the categories of museums, what general area the museum is in... I hit the label cap pretty quick. Now have I shoved as much of that into custom fields as possible? Oh absolutely! But the way core trello handles dates doesn't... play nice with the idea of open/closed hours.
You can set a due date, or a countdown to when, say, something won't be on view anymore, but if you want to have a simple search toggle for "what's open right now?" on a dashcard, that's not something that's doable. there's nothing for the custom time field to check against, much less how to check that a time is between two specific time fields.
What I'm ultimately asking is, if anyone has found a way to pull this off or finagled a (free) plugin to add in this functionality?
it is april 16th, my fields are fallow and my crops are dying
