Hi, I'm pretty new to Trello, and I'm just wondering how to set up your board / tasks correctly so when extracting a report, it actually pulls the right info broken down by columns.

I think this is the cheapest and simplest way to solve your issue, show a report in a table view, with filters, column selection and pivot capability. You can also export to to a spreadsheet
