While creating a card through email, how to prevent a duplicate card from being created ?
a) If the card does not exists, a new card should get created
b) if the card exists, then a new card MUST NOT be created. Instead the existing card should get updated with the comments/contents of the new email.
Hi @Pradeep Prasad 👋
Christl from SendBoard here - makers of the Email for Trello Power-Up.
I have just responded to your email. Please have a look and feel free to reply if anything is unclear or if you have any further questions.
Thanks @Christl de Wet for responding
My further Request: A new option in Trello is required, something like an ON/OFF option switch. We should be able to toggle between "ON switch = create new" and "OFF switch = merge". So that when an email is sent, we control whether a record gets created or merged.
Yes, if there is no pre-existing record, a new record should get created.
Your response.
You can also forward an email to an existing card if needed by simply adding the reference in the subject. Please check out this article for more info on this: How to forward/attach an email to an existing Trello card
