How to disable auto subscription to created cards

Recently, every card I create or comment on gets auto subscribed.

Is there a way to disable this ?

Hi Steve,

By default, the subscribe me to updates on this card checkbox is checked. Once you uncheck that box, the default moving forward, when commenting, will be kept as unchecked. This change is saved within your browser's cache, so if you clear cache, you'll need to uncheck the box once again when adding a new comment.

Although I am not clearing my browser's cache, I still become subscribed to cards in a certain column each day. Is there a way to disable it completely since it doesn't seem to be working well with my mac?
