How to disable WYSIWYG editor and use standard markdown with plain text?

Trello switched me forcely to a new WYSIWYG editor and I'm not able to use legacy textarea to format my text with standard markdown. Please how can I switch to old editor?

The settings on the page https://trello.com/labs are not working yet. This options is hidden now.

Exactly the same thing happens to me. It would be very nice if the Markdown view button would also allow editing directly in this format.

But while you are implementing this, please provide a solution to disable the WYSIWYG editor.

Yes ... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Atlassian and Trello Developers! Please allow us the option to turn off the WYSIWYG editor as we could before! (Why force it upon us?!)

I have been using Trello for a decade now and love it and have always loved it. But today is the first time where the serious thought to seek out and find an alternative has popped into my mind. 

It's hard to explain why, and it may sound stupid, but this big bar that appears everytime I wish to input something with the Bold/Italic options, etc, ... it just interferes with my creativity and I feel pressured by it.
Whereas before I feel like the pure simplicity of that free open space allowed me to focus and brainstorm without distraction and without feeling that subtle heaviness imposed by that bar.

Same the formatting in the cards is killing me.

The need to press shift + return to move the caret a single line is dumb. 

I can't now start a list by typing * or - 

At least give us the option to use markdown please.
