Hi there!
I have a custom field in which a date is set. When that due date has been reached, I need to automatically add a red label to it so I easily see what cards need action taken on them. However, I discovered that a due date in a custom field is not an available trigger.
Has anyone discovered a workaround for this? I cannot use the regular due date field, because that is used for a start- and end date so I can see when a project runs in the Timeline view. In the custom field with a due date, I put the deadline for the next action to be taken on the project.
Hope anyone can help :)
Hi @Shelley Barendregt - unfortunately this won't be possible via automation. You can use the trigger of when a date Custom Field is set to a certain time, but our scheduled commands are designed to be used with the in-built Due Date in cards. I recommend trying to use the native Due Date where possible if you wish to automate the way you've described.
Hi @Alex W , thanks for getting back to me. If I would use the native Due Date field for this, how would I then make good use of the Timeline view?
I have projects that run for weeks so I need to add the start- and end date in the native Due Date field to see how many run at the same time and how much overlap there is.
