How do you save an email from gmail to a specific card?

mastenconsulting September 3, 2020

I have done the add on in gsuite for trello and gmail. However when i go to save an email to a particular card on a list, it only lets me select the list and not the particular card that i need from the list? Can someone please help me get to the specific card and not the list for saving emails for particular clients that are in certain phases of the work that i do?

@mastenconsulting AFAIK you can't add emails to existing cards using the gmail add-on. If you're using Gmail you might be interested in my product BenkoBoard which lets you use Trello as a Gmail client. It will add all new emails from an existing thread into the same card, including attachments and so on, which might be closer to what you're looking for:

do i loose any information- this is a shared trello board... with multiple clients that 2 people share with different territories... we keep them all together...

i would explore this option if it is easy to keep our info together-- also, the web site that you have linked me to is not responding...

@mastenconsulting that's weird you can't get to the site, it's working from here, maybe try this one:

https://benkoworks.com/benkoboard/

the former just redirects there. If you're sharing the board with another team member, you might like the idea of using a shared email address instead, so you'd have something like team@mastenconsulting.com and then instead of using BenkoBoard you can use BenkoDesk which is the same thing but for a shared email:

https://benkoworks.com/benkodesk/

There are other products that do this too:

https://sendboard.com/

https://hipporello.com/

Although with BenkoDesk you get both sides of the conversation showing up in Gmail (ie. sent and received) rather than forwarding your email into a different system.

Feel free to email team@benkoworks.com to book in a chat, we can see whether or not this is a good fit for your use case or if there's some other better solution.
