How do i copy the label I added in parent card to the linked card with Butler?

Theodora Sampalou September 19, 2022

Hello,

I am trying to add a rule that can add the label I just added to the parent card, to the first linked card in the attachments.

Do you have any idea how I can do this?

Thank you.

It is possible to do what you are looking for. All you have to do is create a label that has no color and has some sort of name like this.

After creating this label and selecting remove color you can reference it in butler rules like this.

Butler Rule 1.PNGThen you can simply select and rewrite the name of the label to be a variable and not a fixed label.

Like this:

Butler Rule 2.PNG

You can also use the variable {labelcolor}.

It's annoying to do but it does work. Trello needs to make this more native to the "add the label to the card" function.

Thank you very much!

Hello! Trying to see if I could implement the same thing, but with a linked card that lives on a different board?

Also, where should the no-color label be attached to? Is it the trigger/parent card?
