How do I get rid of url formatting in description and checklists? Edited

The conversion of urls to some clickable icon adds unwanted text title. How do I get rid of this automatic formatting.

Try putting backticks around the url.

Thank you Michael, I feel stupid for not knowing even thinking that, and I use backquotes so much. It is probably because I've only slept 4 hrs a day for a week. Thank you for your reply.

Is there a way to retain the bare URL while also keeping it clickable? Backticks will display the bare URL but it is not clickable that way. When using Trello for web development, it is preferable to have clickable, bare URLs that don't require extra clicks, keystrokes etc. Any chance of providing us with an option to disable the automatic formatting of URLs?
