How do I format custom field checkboxes?

Hey gang,

Trello newbie here.

I don't know how to add items to a custom field checklist. I keep getting this:

I've read in places that it's something to do with looking at the backs of the cards, but I can't find how to do that either.

Please help!

Hi, this is a checkbox custom field type which is basically a boolean (true/false). This is not a checklist.
