How do I delete a former team member + close Trello card?

A former employee opened a Trello card, and I cannot close it. How do I close/delete this?

Hi Susanne, this is most likely happening as this person is still the board admin. Please reach out to us and share with us the board link via: https://trello.com/contact 

We will then look into it to see if there is a way to work around deleting the board. Thanks for your time and we'll be on the lookout for your reply.
