I created a public Trello board template for my team to be able to take social media content that I've created and save it for their own personal use. I have two boards, both are public and set to template.
I am now receiving alerts that says sharing the workspace will affect my bill and workspace guests can only be a member of one board for free and it's going to update my bill.
I cannot be charged for everyone who is making a copy of this board. What am I doing wrong? If it's a public template, why would I be charged? Am I setting it up wrong?
Thanks so much!
Hi tkponti - welcome to the community!
I've responded to your support ticket, but I'll include my response below in case it can help others in the future!
Using the 'Share' button in the board will send a board invite to a teammate, asking them to join the board. If a teammate is added as a guest to more than one board, they will become a billable multi-board guest.
However, as you have a public template, you can share the board link to a teammate without inviting them as a member, observer, or guest to the board. You could copy and paste the board link from the URL bar (at the top of the page), then send them the link separately on another platform. They will be able to access and copy the template without being assigned to it, and 'star' it to add the board to their starred boards.
