How can we quickly enter card details while creating a new card?

Just under a decade ago I used Trello heavily and now I'm getting back into it for managing projects.

I recall there being a feature in which you can enter card details right in the flow of creating a card via the 'Add a card' function from the board view. I recall being able to quickly add an owner by simply doing an @-mention of them, and can even assign labels using the pound symbol. It seems as though now I have to enter the text to create the card, click on the card details, click on the owner, then click to assign someone. Too many clicks in my opinion, whereas in the past I could assign an owner right in that same line as creating the card.

This feature really helped us keep organized. We would enter cards quickly virtually in real-time during standups and other meetings. Now it seems tedious to enter card details, but perhaps there's a new way to quickly enter details and I just don't know it yet.

If there are faster ways to enter card details like labels and owners, I'd love to know more about that. If none exist, I would love to see these features come back.

@Dale Camuyong they changed the @ and # shortcuts awhile ago to make for some better accessibility options, i think. Can't remember the exact reason, but the workaround is to build some automation that captures anything after @ in the cardname and then remove it from the cardname and add a member with the matched text (or similarly with the # for label).
