im unable to print
Hi Marcus! We have a print option available for each card, and for the board as a whole. To print a card, open it from your board, then click Share > Print.
You'll be presented with a print dialog from your computer's OS, and you can take it from there.
We have an article with a little more detail here as a reference: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/printing-in-trello/
If you're running into trouble with that option, please let us know - glad to help troubleshoot a bit!
Hi Cody, the printing is hopeless. It needs to be able to be formatted and the information selectively printed. Agile Cards did the job. It cant be that hard surely to offer this in your print function. Also, that Atlassian relies on a power up for this function is hard to understand, surely its a basic core function. Is there any chance that this can be fixed as a lot of businesses rely on printing cards. Thanks (even this message box has formatting!)

Our print feature is displaying formatting in my tests, at least in a card's description - is that the area that's causing trouble for you?
If I open a card a click "Show more" to display the whole description, then click Share > Print, I see my description's formatting coming through so my hunch is we may be looking at different sections.
If you're having trouble, would you mind opening a support ticket through https://trello.com/contact so we can have a closer look and also avoid sharing any private content in the community?

Hi Cody, thanks for the reply. The print function (share/print) cant be changed to become a presentable document to fit our needs. It prints everything, doesnt print attachments and there is no ability to format the document. The only thing you can change is the margins. Agile Cards was a great solution used by many but the community has essentially been ghosted by this powerup. I would hope that Atlassian could pick up the slack so we can produce professional documents with basic customisation and formatting. The argument has always been its a digital product but printing to paper is still a thing in most of the world that is not sitting in an office. We use ours to produce job cards for example. Cheers

Ahh, I think I'm on the same page now - perhaps Confluence might suit your needs for that particular portion of your Workflow?
Trello wouldn't have the ability to change the way it prints beyond the formatting available in the editor, but Confluence has a bit more flexibility in how layout can be formatted, and can save to PDF in a pretty clean way.
I've seen some customers enjoy using Trello or Jira for their task management, then link to Confluence articles within those Kanban style flows when it suits their needs.
I know it's not exactly what you're looking for, but if that's something that's critical for your business, it may be worth exploring as a alterative!

Hi Cody, Thanks very much for answering my query and providing a possible solution. I had a quick look at Confluence this morning and I think it may well be the solution I have been looking for or atleast closer. Also allows us to stay within the Atlassian environment which I see as a plus.
Another contender I have recently found is a powerup: Portant Export Merge. I think it may be able to export to a google doc to be used as a print template but it will take a bit of work and I think it may be easy to break if the receiving file moves.
Certainly will give Confluence a go. Thanks again for directly answering my question and taking the time and effort to provide a viable solution. Much appreciated Cody
Cheers
