How can I transfer trello data from one domain to another domain

Hi,

  Could you please help me to migrate whole data from one domain to another domain.

We have two domain users in trello basically we need to merge it to a single domain.

I don't have admin access for trello also for the boards. How can I proceed here. Could you please provide any suggestions.

  Thank You for the response.

I went through the documentation also tried one test case.But this needs to be performed from each user account right. Is there any way to migrate in a bulk.Also I don't have access to their boards.Is it needs to be performed by the user?

@Nithya I do not know of a way to transfer in bulk and yes you are required to have access to the boards that you are moving.  You could always submit a support issue to Trello to see if they have a way they can help merge them all together on their end.

Hey @Nithya - Alex from the Trello Support team here.

First, I'm not sure what you mean by change domains. It sounds like instead of transferring boards, that you want your users to change their emails from one email (your old domain) to another (new domain). You can all do this at https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/email

If you have Atlassian Access and have claimed all your users under your domains, you can make this change on their behalf. 

If that's not what you're trying to do, please let me know and I'll raise a request on your behalf, but we need you to elaborate on what you're trying to do.

 Yes I want to change the email address basically but here it can't done directly as it is provisioned from different identity providers.

Actually the scenario is we have two domain users A and B. Now we are migrating A to B. So users will be able to use only their B domain.How we can transfer the data which they had in A domain(for trello). Boards can be transferred using the tool https://trello.com/support/transfer-boards

But we have around 200 active users in A domain.Their B domain is existing and is synced with an identity provider but not having Atlassian account in that domain.So we have to migrate the data associated with A domain to B domain.

I hope you understand the scenario.

Hey @Nithya - my recommendation would be that you reach out to the Access team to see if they can assist you with this - I see that you already have an Access subscription. I would not recommend having your users create new accounts then transfer their Trello content, instead, I think our Access team could have a better solution for you to change the emails of your users. 

Can you raise a ticket for Access over at https://support.atlassian.com/contact/ ?

From there, if our Access support team is unable to assist you, they'll transfer you to us. But if you have claimed both domains, it shouldn't be a problem. If you haven't claimed both domains, my recommendation would be you do, or move the domain claim from one org to another by releasing it then reclaiming it on your current org. Again, Access support will be able to provide you the best way forward.

  Yes we have to claim the new domain and have to release the old one that we need to perform. but after that how we can transfer the trello data to new domain.We are not just changing the email, they have to use the new domain which is synced from the identity provider.They can also raise other application request as well using the new domain.
