Having Lists Auto Populate as previous lists are completed

Shanon October 21, 2020

Is there a way to have the lists on your board auto populate as members complete all the cards on the previous list? For example: If you had 10 lists on the board but wanted only the first one to show up and then when members complete all the cards on that first list then the next list with cards would populate and so on until all 10 lists are showing and complete.

@Shanon it depends what you mean by "complete" but I don't see any way that Butler can check whether or not all cards in a list are archived/due date completed or have all checklist items completed. There's no "for each card" or "if/else" construct in Butler anymore.

This Trellinator function would do it for example when all checklists on all cards in a list were completed:

You can read more about Trellinator here:

Depending on your definition of "complete" you could change it so that all cards would need to be archived, have completed due dates or whatever you liked.

Yes.  There are a lot of different ways to set this up, but likely all of them involve Butler.
