Handling clients in lists

Nebojsa Damjanovich February 10, 2019

Hi, I have these lists:

  • Today
  • This week
  • Focus
  • Done
  • ... and then list for every client

Every client has a color tag so I can recognize the card when I move it to This week, Today, and Done.

This way I must review my client lists daily and prioritize manualy.

Is there a better way of handling clients in Trello?

@Nebojsa Damjanovich I use a "board of boards" approach. That is, each client has a card with a board linked to it, where all the possible tasks (and their state) reside. This means I can share those boards with my client, and still have one place where I can keep track of the "meta" progress of that client.

When I want to take action on a task in each individual board I add myself to it. If you're using Trello "out of the box" this means you see it in your cards view, but I also have an integration called Benko Board which aggregates cards I'm added to in one place (among other things):

Here is a blog from Trello about linking boards to cards:

This process is also one you can automate with Trellinator, in fact, the video I produced on the Trellinator homepage basically shows this process:

Hi @Nebojsa Damjanovich you may want to check out the Trello.com/inspiration for some ideas related to organizing clients. Here is one I particularly like called multi-client content calendar.

If you like the board you can go to the right of board, copy it to your boards and modify it based on your needs.
I hope this helps.

Thanks,

Jodi

The Client status and client matters boards are also great examples:

@Jodi LeBlanc, I saw that you are working as a coach - what's your method of handling clients on one board?

Nebojsa Damjanovich February 10, 2019

This is example of my board where all clients are in separate lists but on one board https://trello.com/b/VPMrddON/client-lists-in-one-board

Thanks @Nebojsa Damjanovich I have adapted the People Management board for my coaching, it is from the Trello inspiration boards, here is the link:
