For Trello enterprise, do I really have to add a new member to all our workspaces and boards manuall

Our company has enterprise edition Trello. We are new to the enterprise edition. We have about 15 workspaces and probably 150 boards total.  New members to our company need about 10 workspaces and 40 boards to start with us.

We thought we enterprise there would be an easy way to on-board a new employee/member and add them to the workspaces and boards they need.

But it appears we have to go to each workspace and each board and add the new employee/member manually.

Is this right? Is there an easier way?

Hi, actually it looks like making those boards "visible" to organization will work too as long as we still do a manual add of each user to every workspace they need.

It is too bad there is not a function when you add a new user in enterprise to select the workspaces to add them to from a drop down list. This would be much easier for on-boarding new employees.

@Matt Dolan - do you reckon this is a feature request we could consider adding to the admin dash?

Making boards visible to the organization is a good solution for individual boards a user needs to view (and not edit).

It is possible to add a user to a Workspace via the Enterprise Admin Dashboard:

Does this do what you need, @Molly Anderson, or is there something else you're needing?

Hi @Molly Anderson - I'd definitely recommend adding a user to each workspace they need, but once they're added to the workspace, they should be able to navigate to the boards they need and add themselves. To do this, the boards would need to be visible to the workspace, and would need to allow workspace members to join the board on request.

You can learn about board visibility here: https://help.trello.com/article/789-changing-the-visibility-of-a-board-to-public-private-or-workspace

And how to let workspace members join a board on request under 'Allow Workspace members to join' here: https://help.trello.com/article/717-adding-people-to-a-board

I would suggest to make this process easier for you that you move all the compulsory boards users need to be a member of in your organisation into one workspace so you only have to add them to this one, then make it the responsibility of each workspace's admin(s) to add them to other workspaces.
