Export CSV "Too many checklists"

When I try to export my board to JSON, I get a 403 status error with an error message of "Too many checklists". I don't necessarily need the checklists in the JSON export but I don't know how to work around this blocker.

Another way to do this would be to copy the board, keeping cards and then use the API to delete all the checklists from the copy and export that. This Trellinator function would do that:

Thank you for a very thorough answer. The script accomplished hat I was looking for. I would like the activity as well but I can probably work through the API to get that.
