I have successfully created a few cards by sending emails to the address obtained from my board. Now, however, the same procedure is resulting in emails appearing as comments to the last card in the specified list.
I've tried generating a new email address for the board. No change. AND I've created a new list and set that as the list to receive email cards. Amazingly, new emails are not even going to the new list but are still getting filed as comments to the last card on the original list.
Can anyone suggest what might be going wrong?
@Chris Gill this is a rather annoying feature of Trello's email to board setting. If Trello determines (somewhat arbitrarily, I was never able to figure out how) that emails are related, then subsequent emails are added as comments to the previously created card. This happens even if the card has been archived, which means that you can email a card to a board, deal with it, archive it, then later email another card to the board and have it silently disappear as a comment on a previously archived card.
As such, the email to board setting is essentially useless imho. That's one of the motivations behind Benko Board:
Thanks Iain - at least I now know what's happening. It's a foolish feature, and doubly foolish that it appears to be undocumented.
Sadly I'm not a Gmail user and don't plan to become one, so your gadget won't help, I believe - and is probably overkill anyway.
cheers

According the help, I assume you're using a wrong address.

Each card also has its own email– sending a note to this address will make your email show up as a comment. You can find a card's email under the "Share" button on the card back, in the bottom right corner.

Thanks Alfred, but no. I am using the address for the board - and, as I have explained, at first it worked just fine. Then things changed (with no change of address) and my emails started to appear in the wrong place.
Your reply does however prompt another thought. I will check whether the address for the card is in fact different from the address for the board, as of course it should be.
cheers
Chris

I can confirm that the address for the card that is receiving the emails is quite different from either of the two addresses I have used to send to the board.
