Hello all,
is it possible to put an effort (in hours) on the cards in Trello? No time tracking but effort in hours how long a task takes? Is it possible to display this in a dashboard?
Thanks and kind rergards,
marcel
Hey @Marcel Hüsen - I answered your ticket about this :)
As I said on the ticket, I recommend looking for a Power-Up that can do this as we don't have this feature natively (unless you use a Custom Field).
Hello @Alex _ Trello thank you for your Reply. Can you recommend a Power-Up for this? May thanks.

Alex W - As a new user, I'm curious about the "Effort" field in the "Custom Fields." It's a numeric field, how do I know if it's hours or days or weeks? I'd like to have it established so that I can see how my team is loaded in terms of work. It looks like there is some way to do this because when I put a 4 in the field, there was a pop-up that encouraged me to view the workload in the "timeline" view, but it didn't show anything other than the list with a "4" and the resource assignments.
Is there a way in Trello to see a day-by-day or week-by-week workload of my team?
And this answer from the "Team Workload" section of your support page seems to be a joke:
"By adding all of the Workspace's boards to one Table View, then filtering by member, it’s easy to see who has a ton of cards assigned to them already. This helps managers delegate effectively, by bringing in folks with a lighter workload to share the stack."
Please tell me there's a more accurate way to track workload in your project management tool than counting cards! 😂

Hi @Marcel Hüsen and welcome!
Alex is right with using a custom field to add Effort to each task. You can use our free power-up Agile Tools by Corrello which allows you to add Story Points and WIP Limits. Story Points show on the front of each card and they can measure a combination of effort, time and importance in a project.
We specialize in reporting so, if you need to see charts with Story Point stats, cycle time, release forecast, burndown or CFD, we've got Corrello.
