Does XERO power-up work in the IOS App?

Howard Le Cornu May 12, 2019

I have Xero working well on the web and desktop for Mac, but where I really need it is in the IOs and Android APPs so that we can enter time from the mobile as we are with clients.

Any knowledge on this?

Thank you :)

@Howard Le Cornu no unfortunately only the Trello core power ups work on mobile like Voting, Calendar and Custom Fields. I assume they're working on Butler buttons next.

The first power ups graced iOS screens in 2017, and there's been no news on it since then, so I wouldn't hold your breath!

It looks like neither Zapier nor Integromat support Xero timesheet actions, but Xero does have a timesheet API:

https://developer.xero.com/documentation/payroll-api/timesheets

You might consider using Trellinator to create an API call that adds timesheet entries based on custom field values that can be edited on mobile:

https://gist.github.com/iaindooley/4912f45b758578b06cbc9a687c8d019f

This function would trigger when the end time on a card was updated, and would log via the Xero API (unimplemented in the above example because it would take too long to write for this little snippet :) notify the member of success/failure then reset the fields for the next entry.

You can read more about Trellinator here:

Thanks @Iain Dooley - Suspect we'll use the web version on a mobile browser - it's useable, or enter directly into XERO Projects and link.

The Trellinator option is beyond my skill and time!

Lets hope iOS power-ups gain momentum again
