Do custom fields transfer to all boards?

I have multiple boards on my Trello account, I added custom fields to one of the boards but I am not seeing those custom fields appear on my other boards. Do I need to manually add them to each of my boards or do I wait for them to integrate automatically?

Create a card, fill in the custom fields you want on the target board, move card to that board and Trello will create those custom fields you want on the destination board.
