Different color member circles

Hi all,

I have a Trello board where I have added members to the board. When i am adding Members to cards I see that most of the 'circles' are colored grey but some show up in orange, green, red, etc.  What is the difference? What do the colors signify?

Is it possible to choose these colors? Some of the members of my team are now red, and it is very distracting. Makes using the app very unpleasant.

It's possible to upload any picture you want, so if you just make an image with whatever color you want and any letters you want, you could upload that:

Accounts just get random background colors I believe if people have not updated their profile pictures. AFAIK those colors have no significance.
