Custom Fields when Moving to Another Board

I created a new board and transferred a card from an existing board.  A few custom fields moved over, but not all of them.  That's fine... but if I delete a Custom Field on my new board, will it be removed from my existing board?

I don't know how to test this and I'm concerned about losing data from my existing board.

Although the fields appears on the ne boards, the definitions it uses is specific to the board. If you remove the definitions on the new board it will not impact the board from which the card came from.
