Was hoping someone might have some ideas on how to execute this. The functionality I'd like to facilitate is as follows:
Is there anyway to concatenate these fields into the hyperlink described in 2?
Having the team manually copy the card on their externally facing emails is fiddly and even when included on the process steps is often overlooked.
@Haldavid Cope you can get access to custom fields with Butler, but you can't attach a clickable mailto link to the card or set a clickable mailto link in the description (as far as I can tell anyway). You might like this product I created called BenkoDesk that would allow the team to send emails directly from Trello cards:
You could create a Butler button that would automatically post comments with text from the description, which would mean the team could write their email in the description then click a "Send" card button that would post a comment like:
@to {{%First Name}} {{%Last Name}} {{%Email Address}}
{triggercarddescription}
You could use the same strategy to have email templates (which some of my clients do).
BenkoDesk also integrates directly with Crmble fields, so if you have your user data on the card using the Crmble power up, you can just type your email ilke:
@to crmble
Hi Name,
Here is the email
The emails would all go out from a shared address and include the signature from Gmail, and would show up in the shared Gmail account's sent items.
If you want people to use it from their individual emails they could each use BenkoBoard:
There are a couple of powerups that allow sending emails from Trello also, but I'm not sure if you could use them in conjunction with custom fields:
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
