Convert card from checklist and link back to original card

This is really two questions:

1. How do I convert a checklist item to a card and have the new card linked to the original automatically?

2. How do I do the above and not have the checklist item disappear from the original card?

Hi @Hollie Mowry ! You can achieve this with a butler rule.

when an item is added to a checklist, convert the item to a linked card, and link the cards together

The secondary action at the end "and link the cards together" might not be necessary - it just depends on what you need to see within the "parent" or "trigger" card. I'd suggest testing it out with and without that part of the rule.
