Combining free and paid accounts, what kind of account do customers need ?

Hello,

I am thinking of using Trello for our company. That means I would use Trello Business Class for our team. We also need to communicate to our customers though. I cannot force them to pay for the Business Class of course. Do they have to use a paid account or could they work with the free account ?

Hi Jens!

Trello Business Class is a subscription that is applied to the Team level, not the User level. That means that you will be charged per each team member on the upgraded team.

You could have a team that only has you as a member, and have your customers as guests of the boards of that team. A guest, by definition, is a user who is not a member of the team, but is a member of the boards on that team.

You will not be charged anything additional for guests who are members of up to one team board. When a guest is a member of 2 or more boards, they will be charged the full price of a member, as they qualify as a Multi-Board Guest.
