Click and drag card causes card to preview

I am finding that every time I try to click and drag my card to another stack it expands and gives me a preview of the card, making it very difficult to drag it to the right place. It changed when I recently moved to my new Macbook Pro 2022.  I think it is a setting somewhere?  Any ideas?
