Circulating Same card vs. Repeat

Jon Sturm January 28, 2021

My understanding is the card repeater will make a copy of the 'repeater' card each time?

What I would prefer is to move the same card so a history of the comments is in each repeating card.

Is there an easy method of this or just create rules to move the card at certain dates to certain lists from wherever it is residing?

Hi Jon,

Yes, the Card Repeater will create a replica of the original card that the repeat is set up on. Therefore this won't maintain any of the future comments or comments from other cards that are repeated.

For this, I would recommend that you use Butler to just move the card between certain lists based on dates or certain triggers. Here is some information on using Butler: https://help.trello.com/article/1198-an-intro-to-butler

Thanks!
