Hello 

I have a simple question: I want to have a standard cover image and standard card size. Is this possible? 

I see the new update and there are some new options - that great, but I cannot find how to make my cover the similar size. I am OCD, and need this. Otherwise, I have a hard time focusing on the lists. 

Thank you for your kind suggestions. I am looking forward to using Trello again. I stopped because this feature was not available in the past and I thought that with the new update, I would be able to use this feature.

@Nandu Pasupuleti if you want to guarantee everything is the same size:

1) Disable card covers so there are no pictures shown on the front of cards at all

2) Don't use stickers at all

3) Never use more than 25 characters in a card title

Hi @Nandu Pasupuleti 👋 Thanks for posting the screenshot. When you say a standard size, do you mean that the card cover or the card itself should adopt specific dimensions consistently?

Looking at my own board, some cards are larger or smaller in size because of the size of the cover image attached to them. If you'll say, resize 2-3 cover images so they have the same dimensions, and then attach them to their respective cards, do they look the same in terms of size?

Thanks for your reply. Sorry if I was not clear. Let me clarify - 

1- Standard size of the CARD COVER - any size is OK, as long as all of them are the same.

2 - For cards without a cover - getting them all to be of the same size. I don't mind any size - just as long as they are the same. 

From your reply, I am guessing that it is not possible, but would be great if you can confirm.  Many thanks.

Thanks for clarifying, though the card size does become slightly larger depending on factors like the length of the card title and the size of the cover image. The new feature, card covers, may also make the card larger if you enable it.

Perhaps others in the community may have a better sense of what you're looking for, but as of now cards will differ in size depending on the content added to it. 🙂

Hi Stef - Thanks again for replying. Just a quick clarification: "if you enable it" - means it is not automatically enabled as an update of the app? Is there some setting that I need to do to enable? Apologies if these are very basic questions - but I am finding my way around the software. Thanks again, Stef, for your help.

Hi Nandu, no worries at all! The new card cover isn't enabled or assigned to a card automatically. You'll select your preferred options first, and then you'll see it in the card.

1. In your board, click on a card.

2. Click Cover in the sidebar.

3. Select the size, color, or image for your card cover.

From what I'm seeing, after all these years, there is not a way to change the dimensions of a card. When a photo cover is selected, it makes the card way too large. There needs to be an option to apply the minimal dimensions when you're using a photo for your cover.

What I would like to have the option for is something similar to the way you can click on the label of any given card when viewing a board and it'll collapse or expand the labels on all the cards, just for the user viewing the board.

Right now, the cover size is a per-card control, but it would be way more helpful if the cover size was a user-preference rather than a choice per card. Sometimes it would be helpful to have ALL cards with covers just show the title in larger text with the background filled with the specified colour or image, OR have ALL cards with covers show the colour bar plus the details.

How cards without covers would be affected, I'm not sure - maybe those stay the same. Or maybe it has nothing to do with covers and becomes a "Card size" display option somewhere you can toggle. So you could thereby toggle between ALL cards having larger titles and no details, with cover background applied if present, otherwise not, or all cards having smaller title, details and, if the have a cover, it's the bar at the top style.

However, if the size is something that makes sense to be part of the cover options per-card, to accommodate other use-cases, then that's fine so long as I could still have a user-preference to toggle them all to one or the other just for me without affecting the per-card setting.

It'd be super handy to be able to increase card height + enable the label height to increase so as a user I can read the card label names I've assigned to specific cards.
