My account is connected to a Guest Workspace, in which I am a member of three boards. I would like to remove the Guest Workspace and the boards from my account, but there is simply no normal close/delete/leave board or workspace function. It only says "You are a guest on these boards. To see other boards and members in this Workspace, an admin must add you as a Workspace member." However, I cant get hold of the workspace admin anylonger. How do I detach this workspace and these workspaces from my account?
Hi @Nicklas Storåkers, welcome!
Your case sounds similar to this one: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Trello-questions/How-to-delete-Guest-Workspaces/qaq-p/1987913
You aren't a member of the workspace so you can't leave it, and you aren't an admin of the board so you can't close/delete it. Ultimately, you'll need to leave the board which will remove it (and the workspace) from your account. Hope it helps. :)
Not really. As the posted image shows, I cant (for some reason) close the boards within the workspace

Hi @Nicklas Storåkers, like I said in my reply, you can't close the board because you aren't an admin of it. You'll need to leave the board which removes your membership from the board, and isn't the same thing as closing it.

Doesnt help to click on avatar on board as the "Remove from board"-option or similar option to leave the board is missing

Thank you @Artemis. But how do I leave these boards? The option is simply not visible on these boards (see attached screen shots)

Hey @Nicklas Storåkers that screenshot is really helpful! Thanks for taking the time to post it here. Looks like this is actually a bug. There aren't any admin on your board (you would see a purple icon on their avatar) and there should be at least 1 admin, and I'm guessing that there's a bug that is stopping you from leaving the board possibly because there are no admin. Trello doesn't normally stop you from leaving a board if that's what you want to do. The "Edit profile info" button in your screenshot confirms you're logged into that same account, and in normal cases you would be able to leave the board from that same window.
Since I'm pretty confident this is a bug, I'd encourage you to write to Trello's support team for help, and they should have some tools to get this straightened out. When you write in, make sure to use the same email that is connected to your Trello account and send them a link to all 3 boards having the issue. Hopefully they'll be able to get this fixed!

Thank you very much @Artemis . Yes, it seems like the person who once created the workspace has deleted his account. That may be the explanation to the bug. WIll keep you updated

An update on the issue, @Artemis : I got a response from the support desk confirming that this is a bug following that the workspace and board creator deleted his account. They had to manually assign me as admin of the board(-s), which enabled me to close the boards and thereby solving the problem. Best, Nicklas

Thanks for the update @Nicklas Storåkers, glad they were able to help sort that out!

More than a year later and this bug has still not been fixed.
Thank you, Atlassian, for creating a robust software platform that does not allow users to actually remove themselves from a guest workspace without opening a support ticket.
