Can someone else manage my Trello automation rules while I am on leave?

Michelle Grosso September 12, 2022

I am getting ready for maternity leave and would like other people on my team to be able to manage the Trello board rules while I am out in case changes are needed. Is there any way to do this?

Hello, Michelle!

Welcome to the community!

A solution could be creating a new account to have the butler rules, transferring using the command libraries, and sharing the password of the account with the people who are responsible for it. Also. you're gonna have to deactivate the commands on your account because this can create a conflict (notice that this could bring security issues since you won't be able to track who did the changes in case there is more than one person with the account)

I hope this helps!

Kind regards

@Michelle Grosso this is what I've started doing for folks. It's a bit of a pain honestly and i think it's a place that Trello has some room to grow in making these automation more accessible across folks, but in the meantime, I've started creating a "service account" for each client I work with and build rules there so that we both have access to the account and the rules.
