Can anyone recommend a alternative to using Trello?

Now that Trello is rolling out charges for using even basic functions, I know of a lot of people leaving to find another product that is free or cheaper.
Can anyone recommend anything?

What are you using Trello for? There are thousands of different use cases, so it's hard to suggest anything without more detail.

But I recommend you have a look at Trello power-ups relevant to your workflow. In some cases, you might be able to add new functions with power-ups while using the basic Trello. You can check out our Power-Ups for example.

We have clients that use our Trello Card Share Power-up to share unlimited number of cards with non-Trello users instead of adding them to their boards. Check out our Power-Ups and hopefully you can find something that works for you.

As the alternative solution, I may recommend you to try Planyway app. It's synced with your Trello account but works even with the free Trello plan. You will have Trello boards but all the other features like calendar, timeline, time tracking, sync, recurring cards, etc. - you get in Planyway. There is a free plan and the paid one which is a way cheaper than having a Trello subscription. Plus, it's not obligatory to purchase a subscription for everyone one your board. It's required only for those who will use extra features.
