Can I sync Microsoft Outlook calender with Trello on a Mac? Is there a 3rd party app that will make it work? Thank you

Hi @Dara Tillotson

Welcome to the Community!

Just to add to @Soumyadeep Mandal's suggestion, that iCal is a one-way-sync.

If you wanted a 2-way-sync (where your cards will show up in your calendar and you can move them around within your calendar of choice and edit them), you might like to try Cronofy.

Cronofy is free for 1 board > 1 calendar, if you want more than that, their paid version is very reasonable at $24 a year. I used the free version for over a year before I upgraded to the paid version.

The only problem is that you can't add an event to the calendar and have it sync to the board, so it's not a strictly 2-way-sync, but I've never had a problem with it!

Just thought that I would add my personal experience!

Hi @Dara Tillotson ,

Welcome to the community!

Using Trello with Microsoft Outlook

If you use Microsoft Outlook for Windows, you can integrate any of your Trello boards' calendars with Outlook, so you can view your calendars and your cards with due dates together in one place. Right now, Microsoft Outlook for Mac doesn't support adding iCal subscriptions.

To begin, enable the iCalendar feed and find the iCalendar URL for your board.

  1. Open the board menu
  2. Click "Power-Ups,"
  3. Enable the Calendar Power-Up if you haven't already.
  4. Then click the gear icon to see the "Calendar Settings"
  5. Once there click "Enable Sync" to enable the iCalendar feed
  6. Copy the URL from "iCalendar Feed."

Anyone with the iCalendar URL will be able to access your calendar, so don't post it publicly.

Open Microsoft Outlook, and click the Calendar icon in the lower left corner to open the Calendar view. Then click on "Open Calendar" in the ribbon.

From the dropdown list, click on "From Internet..."

Next, paste the iCalendar feed URL in the box, and click "OK." You'll see another popup asking you to confirm adding the calendar—click "Yes" to confirm.

By default, Outlook will now display the Trello board calendar side-by-side with your Outlook calendar. You can click on any calendar name in the My Calendars box to enable or disable it from this view. Outlook can't pull the name of the Trello board, so any calendar you import this way will be named "Untitled."

From the My Calendars section, you can right-click on the calendar name, and click on "Rename Calendar" to rename it.

If you add several Trello boards, renaming them will help distinguish which board is which.

NOTE: Changes made in Trello won't instantly update to third-party applications. Outlook will try to update the calendar contents during each download interval, which is configurable within Outlook.
