If I have a template card, can I create a new card by duplicating that template and change the contents of the new card by email?
@Luis Pinto you can create a card by email, and then modify the created card based on the contents of a template card. I don't think this is possible with Butler anymore because you can't reference the trigger card to set the description from the description of a found card, but this would be the Trellinator command to set the description of a card created in your Emails in list with the description of a template card for example (you could also do things like add checklists etc):

Just beware that the email to board functionality is problematic because Trello will attempt to "thread" discussions, that is, it doesn't always create a new card for every email you forward it. Sometimes it will attach an email to an existing card as a comment, and it will do this even if the pre-existing card has been archived, which means you can forward cards into the board and they will just silently disappear without you ever seeing them.
You can use an Outlook or Gmail plugin to create Trello cards from emails, or if you want a more substantial integration you can try BenkoBoard which is an application I created to use Trello as a Gmail client:
