Callback url fails to provide token

tmoreira2020 May 15, 2021

Hi there,

I'm receiving the following callback url when authorizing a user in a Java app.

http://www.mydomain.com/trellooauth2callback?#token=tokenprovidedbytrello

The thing is when the browser send this url to the server it omits the #token. The # symbol is used to anchor links in the page and it isn't required to be sent to the server side. Or am I missing something?

I have tested several different configuration without success. The documentation  doesn't help too much on this matter.

Can someone shed some light here?

Thanks

I'm not quite savvy enough to know precisely why that isn't working, but I might suggest posting this in the dev community. We have a number of Trello Engineers that are active there, and they'd be happy to give some guidance for more advanced topics like these.

This also may be worth posting over on stackexchange if you haven't already. I found a post there that may be helpful for you: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/33898664/using-the-authorise-route-for-trello-oauth-then-get-token-after-hash-tag
Which links here, check out the last explanation by Takahiko: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/33667003/parse-url-hash-fragment-in-express-application
