I want to have several cards which display a custom number field 'savings' of each card. I then want a card to display the total 'savings' of all the cards on that board that have the same custom field name.
Bonus points if there is a way to plot this incline in a line graph so it shows savings over a time displayed by the 'done date'
Use the SumUp Power Up..

Add values to cards and show the sum at the top of each list
This Power-Up lets you easily capture sale amounts, estimate hours, or any other metric you can think of, and automatically updates the total at the top of each list.

@John Leonard in addition to the Costello power up you might be interested in getting your Trello Data into Google Sheets so you can work with it there (and do graphs and stuff). This dude has written tonnes about it and published example scripts:

I actually used his work as the basis for Trellinator which has been included in the Trello integrations section, you can see a "getting started" guide to Trellinator here:

Hi John,
Although there is not a native way to handle that, there is a Power-Up that may be perfect for you called Costello. You can find a bit more information about that at https://trello.com/power-ups/5921dfe98ee3b8cfa67bf08d/costello
While we're not able to endorse or provide support for third-party services (since we don’t work with them directly), we've heard good things about that one!
